Ko Samui Island is known to be the most extravagant island; it is located in the Southeast Asia on the Gulf of Thailand and also situated in the province of Surat Thani in the east coast of Thailand. Visitors will also find the two unique rocks called Hin Ta and Hin Yai which is located at the Lamai beach on the southern coast of the island. These two rocks are also named as grandmother and grandfather rocks, in local language. This place has been a popular tourist attraction of this part.
In a short distance of Lamai, you will also find a very interesting temple called the Wat Khunaram, in this temple tourist will locate a mummified monk in mediating postures. The monk, Loung Pordaeng died on the same spot in 1977, in his lotus posture.
On the main road of the Nathon and Lamai tourists will find the Namuang I and II waterfalls on this island. Bothe these waterfalls are fairly imposing and also swim on the natural pools.
