Arai WarrantyArai was the first company to have the confidence in its product to
offer a full 5 Year Limited Warranty and they have been offering it for
the last 15 years. Only
recently have others extended their warranties past one
year. Should you trust in a manufacturer that doesn't trust its helmets
for more than one
year?
Arai warranty information below was taken directly from Arai's warranty information card.
Arai's Five Year Limited Warranty
All Arai helmets are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship, and as serviceable only for the properly fitted user for 5 years of use, but no more than 7 years from date of manufacture. It should be replaced within 5 years of first use.
Any Arai helmet found by the factory to be defective in materials and/or workmanship within five years from the date of purchase will be repaired or replaced at the option or Arai, free of charge to the original purchaser, when returned freight prepaid to the address advised by Arai on its Return Goods Authorization form. Requests for RGA forms should be addressed to: Arai Tech Services, P.O. Box 9485, Daytona, FL 32120-9485
Any modifications made by the user or third parties will render the warranty null and void. The warranty is also null and void if snell certification serial letters/numbers are removed or defaced.
Normal wear and tear to painted surfaces and abnormal treatment or abuse to the helmet interior are not covered under this warranty. Nor does this warranty cover chips, scratches, abrasions or other incidental damage to the helmet's outer shell and painted surfaces caused by contact of the helmet with another surface or object.
This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, and any implied warranties of merchantability of fitness for a particular purpose created hereby, and limited in duration to the same duration as the expressed warranty herein. Arai shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages. This card is for product registration, failure to complete and return does not diminish you warranty rights.
Some states do not all the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation and exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
