Arai Helmet Standards

The current Snell for auto helmets is SAH2010 (same as SA2010 M6) and FIA 8860-2010 or 8858-2010 certifications. Karting helmets current certification is K2010.
Snell SAH2015 helmets and K2015 will not be available until 10/15.
Current motorcycle helmets have a Snell M2010 certification, the new Snell M2015 helmets will be available after 10/14.

All Arai helmets meet or exceed Snell certification.
NEW FIA 8860-2010 : new certification for the Arai GP6 RC (Please call for information)
FIA 8860-2004 :
This certification has been replaced by the 8860-2010
Now mandatory homologation for many high level series, from 01/01/2010 these include: F1, F2, GP2, GP3, Euro F3, British F3, Spanish F3, A1GP, DTM, WTCC, WRC, LMP1, LMP2, FIA GT1, FIA GT2, FIA GT3ARAI GP6 RC
This is the NEW certification for the SAH helmets in the US, and the SA helmets worlldwide
SNELL CURRENT STANDARDS FOR AUTO RACING
Snell SAH or SA M6 standard for Auto Racing Helmets
(same as SA but with factory installed M6 threaded inserts for Hans Posts install and the FIA certification sticker)
Snell 2010 or SAH2010- New certification from Snell Foundation,
Snell SA standard for Auto Racing Helmets
(comes with Pre-drilled holes for hans Posts install)
Snell 2010 or SA2010- New certification from Snell Foundation,
SNELL OLDER STANDARDS FOR AUTO RACING
Snell 2005 or SA2005- Old Snell certification, legal for racing until Snell releases the 2015 helmets
Snell 2000 or SA2000 - No longer valid for racing after 10/01/2010
SNELL CURRENT STANDARDS FOR KARTING
Snell K standard for Karting Helmets ONLY
Snell 2010 or K2010- New certification from Snell Foundation,

(these can sometimes be used for Autocross or track days)
